Stone Hearts & Skulls

I started this collection of hand carved skulls and hearts after news of the residential school graves being discovered. I didn’t realize it at the time, but when I was done with the project I realized it was a way for me to process some emotions surrounding child loss and our national relationship with indigenous nations.
